“Fun framed. Moments printed.”
Blending Korean-style aesthetics with local creativity, Snapshot collaborates with Taiwanese artists to create exclusive frames and designs, making each photo session feel fresh, personal, and collectible. Now installed in popular locations across Taiwan, Snapshot brings technology, design, and culture together — one beautiful memory at a time.
Snapshot is a Korean-style photo booth product developed by a local Taiwanese startup.
After self-learning programming through building small projects, I used one of them to apply for this full-stack engineer role — hoping to contribute my skills, test what I had learned, and gain real-world experience.
Once onboard, I became the bridge between a small, agile team of UX designers and firmware engineers. I was responsible for bringing the product vision to life: connecting IoT hardware with a smooth, intuitive user experience, from frame selection and payment, to photo shooting, editing, and printing.
In just two months, we launched the first version of Snapshot. In the first month after launch, 75% of the deployed machines achieved profitability — a strong sign that our user-centered approach resonated with customers. The product has since expanded to dozens of locations across Taiwan, supported by a codebase designed for scalability and future growth.
This project was not only a chance to deepen my technical skills, but also an opportunity to shape an entire user journey from scratch — blending creativity, technology, and business understanding into a tangible product.
